Georgia's First Lady back in her element with visits to Southeast Georgia Schools

BRUNSWICK - It’s one thing to have a teacher peering over your shoulder in class, but Brunswick High students had Georgia first lady Sandra Deal and state schools Superintendent John Barge checking their work Thursday.

Brunswick High was the first stop on Deal’s and Barge’s tour of schools that included stops in Cook and Berrien counties later with Barge’s talk to the Georgia Association of School Personnel Administrators conference on St. Simons in the middle.

As their visit to Brunswick High wound down, Deal said, “It’s like throwing us in a toy store. We just had a great time.”
